COMPOSERS OF THE ROMATIC PERIOD

Louis-Hector Berlioz was born December 11,1803 in La Cote-Saint-Andre, Isere, He was one of the most original composers of the 19th century. He was very versatile with his music,he wrote operas,symphonies,choral music,overtures,songs,and cantatas.Berlioz was very passionate about his music his father taught him to play the flageolet,read music and also how to play the flute.He also took voice and sight reading lessons from Imbert.Dorant taught him to play the guitar.Berlioz wasn't always accepted by the general public,due to his manner of instrumentation and orchestration where to advanced for that era,because of that Berlioz shifted to symphonies and wrote newspaper reviews to earn ends meat.

Franz Schubert born January 31,1797 born in Vienna was one of the most remarkable composers of the romantic period known as the "Master of Song' reason being he wrote over 200 songs in his life time. He was also taught by his father to play the violin,he also studied counterpoint,keyboard playing, and singing under Michael Holzan. Schubert lived a very colorful life,he was a choir boy until 1812 when his voice crack ending his singing career.Being that as it may Schubert went on to write many famous musical pieces such as, "Serenade","Ave Maria," "Who is Sylvia," " C major Symphony", "Unfinished Symphony" along with many fascinating others.

Robert Schumann born July 29,1856 both his parents suffered from a mental complications, and his sister commited suiscide when he was a teenager. As an adult he was known as the German compose who served as the voice of other Romantic composers, his works consisted of a music journalist and critic, also the editor of Neue Zeitschrift ffor Musik. Though sadly enough Schumann himself got a mental illness causing him to suffer from auditory hallucinations,after a mishap of him throwing himself into a rhine Robert willingly checked him self in to a mental hospital and later died of mercury due to the treatments he was undergoing in the aslyum
